Help Italian earthquake victims
You will all have heard about the terrible earthquake in Italy, not far from our home. We ourselves were in Holland at the time, and our neighbors tell us they felt the quake and can still feel the subsequent shocks going on today, but no damage so far. That’s very different in the villages Amatrice, Accumoli and other villages in the area. Amatrice looks to be one big pile of rubble and not one house in the historic town is still inhabitable. At the time of writing there already 270 people dead, and more expected. Thousands have lost their home…
Site messed up
I am sorry folks, but after the last upgrade to my WordPress Theme, the site got pretty messed up. And I haven’t found the time yet to figure it all out….. Since my last update we did some rides in Italy, showed people around in Italy, visited Switzerland and had a vacation in the US (including a motorcycle accident, no less), so too much things going on ! Stay tuned, I am working on it !
Food and Italy, one more reason to visit !
We all know about spaghetti, macaroni and lasagna….. but the Italian kitchen is so much more and widely varied. Depending on where you are and when you are there, you will find many dishes that are totally awesome and you’ve never heard of it. That, and sweet stuff of course ! Motor Tours in Italy
Hi everybody….. these past two years have been difficult and EuropeRides has been left at the side for a while. But we’re still here (and now in Italy) and even if we ourselves cannot take you to ride, we are here at least help you find others who can ! The latest such contact is Enrico Grassi with his Hear The Road Italian motorcycle touring company. Enrico is based near Rome and his tours start from there.
