You will all have heard about the terrible earthquake in Italy, not far from our home. We ourselves were in Holland at the time, and our neighbors tell us they felt the quake and can still feel the subsequent shocks going on today, but no damage so far.
That’s very different in the villages Amatrice, Accumoli and other villages in the area. Amatrice looks to be one big pile of rubble and not one house in the historic town is still inhabitable. At the time of writing there already 270 people dead, and more expected. Thousands have lost their home and everything else, and need help.
Emergency forces are doing their best but Italy is a poor country, and rebuilding those people’s lives is going to be costly. So any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated.
