Motorrad-tourer from Berlin, Germany, has started a new service, called ‘Zertifizierte Unterkünfte’, freely translated as Certified Lodges. There are more such ‘groups’ or certifications, providing a sort of guarantee to motorcycle riders and -travelers that they’ll end up at hotels and other lodgings that will actually WELCOME them. Not all hotels do, you see! Note that I tend to use the term ‘riders’ and not ‘bikers’, since the latter seems to have a negative ring to it in both Europe and the US.
I am happy to tell you that Nina and I have joined the group of ‘testers’ for Fred, the owner of Motorrad-tourer, and we’ll very likely be looking at some hotels this Summer that we KNOW are good to riders. If those hotels and other places want to join the ‘certification process’, we’ll be happy to recommend them to you.
